History Project Reflections

What did you learn from working on this project? (Eg. teamwork, knowledge, about Ancient Civilisations, presentation skills, etc)
I learnt more about the Ancient Civilisations like what they are good at in science and the arts and I also learnt that when we present, we must be patient as other people may not be able to catch up with my speed.
What can be improved about the way the project was carried out? (Eg. planning, research, presentation, model-making, etc)
I think that it is fun going around to look and learn about what the other groups had done but sometimes it will get too crowded and I cannot see the screen.

Reflection on religions and philosophies

In a country like Singapore which is multi-religious, what are the possible challenges we might face?How can we overcome these challenges?

We might face problems like not able to cooperate with people from other religion as there may be religion problems. In order to prevent such things from happening, we can learn from other religion about their culture and understand them so that there will be lesser religion problems.

How was religions and philosophies important to the people of the ancient civilisations?

It was important because if there wasn't any religions and philosophies, there would be riots and the king of that country would have a hard time trying to make the country peaceful.

Government and society of ancient civilisations

What were the similarities between the government & society of the 3 ancient civilisations?
All the 3 civilisations had a monarchy and a hierarchy.

What were the difference between the government & society of the 3 ancient civilisation?
The difference between the government of the 3 ancient civilisations is that their rulers were different in the way they managed their kingdoms or empires. The difference between the society of the 3 ancient civilisations is that their social classes are different.

How similar or different are their systems with Singapore?
They are different from Singapore as they have kings for their rulers while we hav presidents.

Reflection on Indus Valley

I find that Indus Valley is a well-planned city ruled by an efficient government that provide a shelter for villages during war, a complex drainage system and there are food stored for future consumption.
For the occupations, there are priest, who carry out religious rituals, farmers who produces food, traders who sell as well as purchase products from other regions, and craftsmen who create pottery and bronze tools. For the writing system, they have a uniform writing system and they use seals for trading.
